The Megawatt Charging System (MCS) from BRUGG eConnect AG is a DC fast charging solution that drives decarbonization. This can be used to charge all heavy-duty vehicles, such as agricultural and construction vehicles, trucks, e-boats, and others, wherever fast and powerful charging is required.

The Megawatt Charging plug and cable allow charging currents 3000 A with a single MCS connection. The system is designed for three different power levels (350A, 1000A, and 3000A). To enable the 3000A, the system includes an active cooling system for the cable and connector and a passive cooling system for the vehicle inlet. The BRUGG eConnect relies on an environmentally friendly water-glycol solution for the cooling fluid.

With a charging capacity of up to 3000A per port, the MCS system significantly reduces charging time and maximizes uptime compared to existing combined fast charging systems (CCS).

The functional prototype can already be ordered from January and is thus available to manufacturers of fast charging stations for internal tests. Our sales team will be happy to inform you about the possibilities.
