BRUGG eConnect AG and EVTEC have been nominated with the project “Highest charging power with maximum safety” for the award as energy turners at the aeesuisse congress!

On September 1, 2022, the audience of the aeesuisse congress will choose the Energy Turner.

Numerous innovative and exciting projects have been submitted. Thus also the fastest fast charging station of EVTEC, which was put into operation in September 2021 at the “Freshbalken” with 2 Swiss innovations at once.

When charging electric vehicles, higher and higher power levels are being charged. However, in addition to the shortest possible charging times, safety is also crucial. Thanks to two innovations from Switzerland, this will be maximized in the future: On the one hand, the charging pole manufacturer EVTEC uses classic temperature measurement, which is evaluated by software and dynamically reduces the charging power in the event of overtemperature. With the new, patented technology, an independent measurement is also added, which monitors both high-current contacts. The shutdown logic is mechanical and thus offers a significant safety gain. The Swiss cable manufacturer BRUGG eConnect developed a charging connector that sets new standards in terms of robustness and safety. Higher charging powers mean that higher safety requirements are needed. With the Compact connector, the world’s first HPC charging connector with IP69 protection class, this challenge was mastered.
