PROGRESSIVE AND TRANSPARENT
With its annual sustainability report, the BRUGG Group provides insight into its progress and activities in the areas of environment, social responsibility, and corporate governance. The report is based on internationally recognised ESG standards and also discloses the carbon footprint (GHG Scopes 1–3) – an important basis for continuous improvement measures.
ACTIVITIES BEYOND CO2 REDUCTION
TESTED AND EFFECTIVE
The BRUGG Group, in cooperation with ClimatePartner Impact, supports a reforestation project in Rwanda. One of the BRUGG Group’s core competencies is erosion protection – for example, with TECCO® mesh from Geobrugg. However, natural methods such as targeted planting also offer effective protection: the root system of bamboo effectively stabilises bank zones, reduces erosion and binds large amounts of CO₂, which is converted into biomass and stored for the long term. The VERRA-certified project also creates local jobs, especially for women.

Every cable undergoes comprehensive routine checks and long-term testing in our high-voltage laboratory. Our suppliers are also carefully selected to meet our high quality and environmental standards. We rely on resource-saving technologies, energy-efficient processes and durable product solutions that cause as little environmental pollution as possible throughout their entire life cycle.
